Vase Hydria
Fiber Glass With White Finish
The Vase Hydria in Fiber Glass With White Finish is an exquisite decorative object from the Eichholtz collection. Introducing the Vase Hydria by The Met x Eichholtz, inspired by the decorations on an ancient Greek terracotta calyx-krater, or bowl for mixing water and wine in The Met collection. Reimagined with a pristine white finish, our vase recalls ancient Greek artistry, blending historical allure with contemporary elegance.
Elevate your decor with this timeless piece, a harmonious fusion of classical beauty and modern sophistication. HISTORIC PROVENANCE The Vase Hydria is inspired by a Greek calyx-krater (ca. 460–450 BCE), a type of terracotta bowl for mixing water and wine, attributed to the Painter of the Berlin Hydria. The original vessel features a depiction of an Amazonomachy, a legendary battle between the Greeks and the Amazons, a mythological race of female warriors. This theme, a popular subject in Greek pottery, conveys the drama and tumult of battle. Crafted to Eichholtz standards, it balances timeless European sensibility with modern ease — a statement piece that layers comfortably into living, dining, or bedroom settings. Thoughtful finishes and curated textures invite daily use while preserving a quietly luxurious presence. Meticulously crafted from glass, the Vase Hydria possesses weight, texture and surface depth that signals authentic luxury.
The Vase Hydria anchors vignettes with quiet confidence. At approximately 210 lbs, its heft speaks to material quality.
A testament to Eichholtz's belief that the smallest details carry the greatest impact.
