Its black veneer finish exudes timeless charm, making it an ideal addition to complete the ′Americana′ series, infusing your living space with a touch of historical sophistication. HISTORIC PROVENANCE The Side Table Americana is inspired by a drawing of a table (ca. 1870–80) in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The design created by A. Damon et Cie (French, active ca. 1870–1900) shows an elegant table with carved trim and turned legs.

Crafted to Eichholtz standards, it balances timeless European sensibility with modern ease — a statement design that layers comfortably into living, dining, or bedroom settings. CARE

Care Instructions for Side Table Americana

(Black Veneer, Wood)

Daily Maintenance

  • Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to prevent build-up that can dull the finish.
  • Wipe light smudges with a slightly damp cloth, then immediately dry the surface with a clean, soft cloth.
  • Clean spills promptly to avoid staining or marks, especially from coloured or acidic liquids.

Cleaning the Main Material

  • Clean the wood surface with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth, always wiping in the direction of the grain.
  • Use only pH-neutral cleaners specifically formulated for lacquered or finished wood if additional cleaning is required.
  • Never use abrasive pads, scouring powders, or aggressive chemicals on the wood finish.

Caring for Secondary Materials

  • Apply the same gentle, pH-neutral cleaning approach to any additional trims or hardware, avoiding harsh or abrasive products.

Placement & Protection

  • Use felt pads under decorative objects to reduce the risk of scratching the surface.
  • Protect the surface with coasters and trays when serving drinks or displaying items that may mark.
  • Position the design away from intense, direct sunlight and strong heat sources to preserve finishes over time.

Handling & Use

  • When moving the design, lift it with two people where possible rather than dragging it across the floor or surface.
  • Support the piece from its strongest structural points, avoiding pressure on delicate edges or decorative elements.

Long-Term Preservation

  • Give the piece a more thorough clean several times a year, including less accessible areas.
  • Check protective pads or felt glides and replace them when they become worn or compressed.
  • Maintain a stable indoor climate whenever possible to help preserve both structural integrity and finishes.
