CARE
Care Instructions for Bookend Opia Set Of 2
(Petrified Wood, Wood, Marble/Stone)
Daily Maintenance
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, always following the direction of the wood grain.
- Wipe spills immediately with a slightly damp cloth and dry the surface thoroughly — standing moisture can damage wood finishes.
- Dust marble and stone surfaces regularly with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to prevent grit from scratching the surface.
- Wipe spills immediately — marble and natural stone are porous and can absorb liquids, leading to stains.
Cleaning the Main Material
- Use a cleaner specifically formulated for finished wood surfaces, applied sparingly with a soft cloth.
- Avoid all-purpose sprays, ammonia-based products, and silicone polishes, which can build up and dull the finish over time.
- For oiled wood, follow the manufacturer’s guidance on re-oiling frequency to maintain the protective layer.
- Clean with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water and a pH-neutral stone cleaner.
- Never use vinegar, lemon juice, or any acidic cleaner on marble or stone, as acid etches and dulls the surface.
Caring for Secondary Materials
- Clean stone or marble elements with a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid acidic cleaners and always use coasters on stone surfaces.
Placement & Protection
- Position away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent warping or cracking.
Handling & Use

Long-Term Preservation
- Inspect periodically for any signs of damage, discolouration, or wear and address them promptly.
